Tadesse has produced this lot from his farm in Gemecho village. The cherries from his farm were anaerobically fermented for 96 hours before being spread out to dry under shade nets for 30 days. Once dry, the coffees were bagged up and sent to Dukem Getachew’s dry mill for milling.
Tedesse Yonka lives in the village of Gemecho, Bensa, with his family and farm which he inherited from his father. Expanding on his father’s work, Tedessa continued to cultivate coffee while also improving his processing methods. Eventually he began to work with his neighbours, purchasing their cherries and growing his operation into a washing station.
These days he is well known in the Gemecho community for buying and processing high quality coffee. Though water sources are hard to gain consistent access to in elevations as high as the 2250 masl.
